- When cleaning marble, use only a soft cloth or sponge to preserve the smooth and damage-free appearance of the surface. Avoid metal tools and abrasive sponges, as these can scratch marble and damage its surface.
- For everyday maintenance, warm water and a cleaner designed for natural stone are sufficient. After cleaning, dry the surface with a soft dry cloth – this helps prevent water stains and limescale residue.
- Avoid vinegar, lemon juice, acidic cleaners and universal cleaning products that contain acids. Marble reacts quickly to acids and even brief exposure can leave dull or matte marks on the surface.
- All possible liquids (including coffee, oils, wine, juice, etc.) and other dirt must be removed from the marble surface immediately after spilling! Due to its porous structure, marble absorbs liquids quickly, which is why stains can become permanent and removing them later can prove very difficult or impossible.
Marble's porous structure makes it sensitive to liquid and dirt absorption, allowing them to penetrate deep into the stone surface. Therefore, dealing with stains after they set can be difficult later, and in extreme cases they may remain permanently on the surface.
